It gets ready in no time, which makes it best for those fasting days when you are in no mood to put extra efforts in anything. These burfi’s are light to eat, soft in texture and tastes so good that we can’t wait for Festive season to make them. These are good to make on any other day as well.

view 1 cup Singhare or water chestnut flour
3/4 cup Sugar
1 1/2 cup warm water
4 tbsp Ghee
Chopped Nuts and pinch of cardamom powder for garnish

-Heat ghee in a pan.
-Roast singhare or chestnut flour on low flame, till it is slightly brown in color and its roasted aroma comes out.
-Add warm water. Mix well
-Add sugar and mix till all sugar is mixed well.
-Make sure there are no lumps.
-Set this burfi mixture on greased tray evenly.
-Sprinkle chopped nuts(any nuts of choice) and cardamom on it and press it with the back of flat cup.
-Let it cool for 15 minutes. Then slice it and serve.
