Nutty cake ball dipped in chocolate can be a classic gift for any chocolate lover.
These chocolate balls are a great hit in my house during the festive season. All guests appreciate it so much and i am happy thinking that it took my very less time and effort to make someone else happy 🙂
1 Cup Crushed Sponge Cake
1 Tbsp each of coarsely crushed Almond , Raisin , Walnut and cranberries
2 Tbsp Desiccated Coconut
1 Tbsp Melted Chocolate
1 Tbsp Sweetened condensed milk
150 gms of semi sweet baking chocolate (or chocolate chips)
4 silicone baking molds for making basket
For Chocolate Ball –
1) In a bowl, mix together cake, almond,raisin walnut , cranberries, coconut, melted chocolate and condensed milk until all the ingredients are blended well.
2)Form 1 inch ball from the above mixture by rolling it between the hands.
3)Melt 150 gms of baking chocolate either in microwave or by using double boiler. Once the chocolate is melted, dip the balls in chocolate and coat them well using a fork. Place the chocolate dipped balls on wax/parchment paper until chocolate sets.
4)For decoration, sprinkle few coconut flakes on the top of the ball when the chocolate is little bit soft or place a sliced almond on the top of ball.
For Chocolate Basket –
1) Take melted chocolate in a bowl and then coat the silicone molds for making cupcakes from inside with melted chocolate using a brush or spoon.
2)Once all the molds are coated with chocolate, place the molds in freezer for 10-15 min so that the chocolate is set.
3)Remove the chocolate cup from the basket carefully.
4) Chocolate molds are ready. You can serve the chocolate balls in chocolate cup or you can serve vanilla ice cream in these chocolate cups.
